中国国家艺术网第三届（2012）网络艺术展优秀参展艺术家——郑忠小传
郑忠，1962年生于海安。
1979年至1985年任海军南海舰队潜水员,1988年毕业于南通大学美术学院，1991年结业于南京艺术学院美术系廖修平现代版画研修班,1992年结业于浙江美术学院版画系大卫.西维伯格现代铜版画研修班,1997年毕业于江苏省版画研修生班，1999年毕业于中央美院版画系研究生班，中国美术家协会会员，江苏省版画院高级画师，深圳观澜版画基地首批入驻画家。
作品入选30多个国家和地区的国际版画展及中国美协第十二次新人新作展。
1997年起先后在在中国美术馆、塞浦路斯尼可西亚文化中心、芬兰赫尔辛基文化中心个展（中国文化周）等地举办16次个展.。
作品获全国第五届三版展银奖，第13届全国版画作品展铜奖，美国廖氏版画奖及中国八、九十年代优秀版画家鲁迅版画奖，（法国巴黎）2011年国际版画、水彩画原创作品大展入选奖。2012<意境.中国>第二届华艺奖.
作品为中国美术馆、埃及版画博物馆和塞浦路斯共和国总统收藏。
作品载入《中国现代美术全集》，《美术观察》“美术名家”推介，《郑忠版画作品集》由北京文化艺术出版社出版。
2002年7月被南通市人民政府审定为南通历史上第144位历史文化名人。（F144）CCTV美术星空两次作专访。CCTV书画频道专访。
Zheng Zhong’s Biographical Notes of Artistic Activities
Zheng Zhong, dean of Nantong Printmaking Research Institute, born in Hai’an, Jiangsu Province in 1962 and graduated from the Fine Arts Institute of Nantong University in 1988, and from the Researcher’s Class in Jiangsu Printmaking Institute in 1997 and from the Dept. of Printmaking in China Central Academy Of Fine Arts（CAFA）for master degree in 1999, is a member of Chinese Artists Association and Chinese Printmaking Artists Association as well as a senior lecturer in Jiangsu Printmaking Institute.
Zheng Zhong’s works have been selected and exhibited in more than 30 countries and areas. At home, they also have been selected and exhibited in the 12th New Works Exhibition of New Artists by Chinese Artists Union, the Works Exhibition of Chinese Worthy Printmaking Artists, the Chinese Cross-century 99 International Renowned Artists’ Works Exhibition, “Swaying Ivy” Three Artists’ Printmaking Touring Exhibition, 2000 International Printmaking Invitation Exhibition(US, Japan and Taiwan), 2001 Cultural Centre Exhibition in Nicosia, Cyprus, the 1st International Exhibition of Biennial in Qingdao, 2002 Contemporary Printmaking Works Acadamy Invitation Exhibition (Sichuan Arts Institute), 2003 Cultural Centre Exhibition in Helsinki, Finland, the One Hundred Years Retrospective Exhibition of Chinese Printmaking, China’s Arts Exhibition Today, 2004 Annual Exhibition of Printmaking Works of China’s High Colleges and Universities of Arts, 2005 Twenty Years’ Retrospective Exhibition of China’s Silk-Screen Printmaking, 2006 Invitation Exhibition of China’s Famous Figures in Printmaking, 2007 Invitation Exhibition of International Printmaking in Portugal.
In November, 1997, he held his individual exhibition in Chinese National Fine Arts Gallery & Jiangsu Fine Arts Gallery. In 2001 he held his individual exhibition in the cultural center of Nicosia, Cyprus. In 2003, he held his individual exhibition in the cultural center of Helsinki, Finland.
Zheng Zhong’s works won a silver medal in the 5th Chinese National 3-plate Printmaking Exhibition, A bronze medal in the 13th Chinese National Printmaking Exhibition, Liao’s Award, USA and Luxun Printmaking Award for the 1980’s and 1990’s Worthy Printmaking Artists of China,Acceptance Award of 2011 International Original Print and Watercolour Painting Exhibition(Paris,France).
Zhen Zhong’s works have been collected by Chinese National Fine Arts Gallery, Chinese Exhibitions Exchanging Centre of Chinese Cultural Ministry, Egyptian National Printmaking Museum and the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
His works have also been collected in the Complete Works of Chinese Modern Art (Printmaking), Chinese Contemporary Art 1979-1999, Printmaking of China’s 20th Century, Catalogue of Chinese Contemporary Artists, Chinese Fine Arts Today, Chinese Contemporary Youth & Communist Youth League, Collections of Chinese Famous Figures in Printmaking and so on, and have been published in Fine Arts, Art Research, Literature and Art Studies, Art Panorama, Art Life, Art Observation, Arts, Jiangsu Art Monthly Pictorial, China Art Weekly and other professional publications. Art Reports sponsored by CCTV has interviewed him twice. Wu Guanzhong’s autobiography Life’s Landscape has chosen Zheng Zhong’s printmaking works as the cover. Collection of Zheng Zhong’s Printmaking Works is published by Beijing Culture and Art Press.
